Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) wants to inform providers of a recent change that may impact the members with a BCBS Arkansas plan. BCBSND collaborates closely with other state’s Blues Plans, which is why we want to inform providers of a new Utilization Management vendor that will be used by BCBS Arkansas for Walmart plans and national accounts.
Starting April 1, 2025, BCBS Arkansas’ new vendor HealthHelp will offer Utilization Management (UM) services for high-tech radiology, including computerized tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET) scans, cardiac nuclear medicine, transthoracic echocardiography and stress echocardiography.
There are no changes to the current flows for BCBSND providers. Providers will still file claims and contact us as they do today. We are simply notifying providers that they may receive letters on behalf of Arkansas BCBS members from this vendor. This change will impact the following Walmart member prefixes: WMW (primarily seen in our local North Dakota region), WPS, WTO and WVO.
