Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) would like to inform providers of a known issue with the Availity Essentials Claims Status direct messaging feature.
As of April 2, 2025, the Availity Essentials provider portal direct messaging feature disappeared, impacting providers ability to send messages to BCBSND.
A notification has been added to the impacted portal screen and will display while Availity actively works on resolution for this. The banner will be taken down once the issue is resolved.
Please utilize the Availity Essential portal for potential answers to your questions, this may include but is not limited to Eligibility & Benefits, Claim Status details, and Remittance Viewer. If you need immediate assistance, please utilize the appropriate Provider Service Contact Center, by calling the number on the back of the members ID card.
