PA checkpoint has been live since April 20, 2024, for our Commercial and Medicaid Expansion lines of business.
Below are a few reminders to help providers as they use PA Checkpoint:
- The skip button that displays on the bottom of the PA Checkpoint tool is only to be used for Medicaid Expansion referrals.
- If a CPT code displays a green status of “NO AUTH REQUIRED," providers do not need to do anything further.
- If a provider would like authorization requirement status for their record a print option is available on the webpage, or the transaction ID can be saved. The transaction ID tracks the information.
- If a CPT code displays a red status of “AUTH REQUIRED," providers should continue to the next screens as applicable.
